David Müller (born Kragh-Müller, 1977) is a self-taught Danish visual artist and sound designer/composer who works mostly with the synthesis of photography, collage and painting.

Born into the Cold War, in a communist collective with writers, journalists, photographers, actors and musicians, he was quickly influenced by the political atmosphere and the interplay with art.  He learned about Bertolt Brecht, Dario Fo and Günther Grass early on, and their works and spirit have followed him throughout his life.
Throughout the 80s and early 90s, he was ‘educated’ in contemporary art with annual visits to Louisiana museum of modern art. His grandmother, who was an architect and amateur painter, believed that art was an important part of human development, and today he sees this early introduction to art as his subformal art education. He saw Warhol, Cindy Sherman, Robert Mapplethorpe, and the sexual diversity of the ‘New York’ art scene they represented, normalized these concepts and personal expressions, and taught him about ‘diversity’ long before it became mainstream.
Recurring themes in his art are often human inner conflicts, as well as ‘time’ as mystery, and as a constant farewell.
Throughout the 90s he was part of a performance group that performed so-called ‘site specific’ performances in unconventional places, including a car cemetery, on a sculpture by Robert Jacobsen and the Odense Harbour. In 1995 the group was hired by the music group U2 to perform for their (always) political intro performance created by another Irish performance group.
Curiosity about the world around him has taken him far and wide, and he has studied with, and traveled with the internationally acclaimed Indian percussionist Trilok Gurtu, played with the world-renowned trumpeter Palle Mikkelborg and been curator at the performance theater Hotel pro Forma with the charismatic leader Kirsten Dehlholm.
In the 00s he had the gallery ax12, whose uncompromising approach to art was highlighted in the magazine Ny Dansk Kunst 2005. As a curator he helped profile new Danish artists such as Maria Torp, Mette Geisler and Anika Lori (MAM) Søren Dahlgaard, Søren Thilo Funder, Theis Wendt, Hesselager & Mejlvang, Colonel and others. The gallery also arranged international concerts in collaboration with the music publisher Escho.
